Almery Lobel-Riche (1880-1950)

Almeric Riche, born in Geneva in 1880, studied initially at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts at Montpellier before moving to Paris in 1895. Artist and illustrator of renown, he specialised in studies of the sensuality and eroticism of the female nude. He illustrated, or contributed illustrations to, more than 50 works of literature, from Baudelaire and Flaubert to Osacr Wilde and Emile Zola.
