CHARLES EMILE EGLI (pseud. CARLEGLE) (1877-1937)

Swiss-born artist and illustrator who lived in Paris from 1900. He was particularly noted for his humorous drawings and caricatures, as well as his penchant for nude studies. His accomplished technique of drawing the female nude is exemplified in his work for the original edition of Colette's 'Nudité'.
